Each year, since 1998, the Rohm and Haas Community Partnership Initiative has awarded a grants of $30,000 a year in communities around four Rohm and Haas sites in the U.S. county, including the Deer Park, Texas plant. A special committee of community leaders is responsible for managing this important grant program
The Community Partnership Initiative committee polled community leaders to identify a pressing need in the community. The response from local leaders was clear — activities for youth when school is not in session. The target communities is within the city limits of Deer Park and the schools served by the Deer Park Independent School District. The Initiative will give priority consideration to programs requiring a grant of $30,000. However, if a viable proposal for $30,000 does not emerge, proposals for grants between $5,000-$25,000 will be considered. Organizations may use the grant in a single year or over multiple years.
